Presbybop April 13 7PM

An Evening of Jazz with Presbybop

Saturday, April 13 at 7 pm

Tickets:  $10 at the door

The Presbybop Jazz Quartet is coming to VPC as part of their Florida tour.  The group was formed by Bill Carter, a dynamic Jazz pianist who’s also a Presbyterian minister from Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.  For many years, Bill has been living the dream of bringing great musicians into the church and infusing sacred spaces with the beauty of jazz music.  The band has released several albums, and Bill has recently published the book:  Thriving On a Riff: Jazz and the Spiritual Life.  Bill will be joined by Mike Carbone on saxophone, Tony Marino on bass, Ron Vincent on drums, and Bill Carter on piano. The band will play some of their favorite tunes, redefine a few of your favorite tunes, and make a lot of joyful noise.  (Note:  They will not be playing at VPC for Sunday services, so Saturday evening’s concert will be the only opportunity to hear them in this part of Florida.)
