Music and Arts ministry

Vision Statement: The Music and Art’s Ministry of Venice Presbyterian Church exists to exalt God and to point the believer and the non-believer to the cross of Jesus Christ.

Our Music and Arts Ministry is led by Jamal Sarikoki, our Minister of Music and Worship. Jamal brings variety, passion, and sophistication to our program. His intense faith and belief that music is a powerful form of prayer drive this ministry.

At VPC, we worship God through a wide array of musical outlets. Our ensembles include the chancel choir, the handbell choir led by Laurie Olsen, our Jazz Ensemble led by Jazz Trombonist, Mike Treni, various amateur and professional musicians from within our church, as well as guest artists from around the area and country.

Adding to our music culture, we have maintained the Venice Community Concert Series since 2007. We continue to offer concerts ranging from organ concerts by Fredick Swann to Brass concerts by The Canadian Brass, as well as masterworks concerts for full orchestra conducted by our Minister of Music & Worship, Jamal Sarikoki.

Our senior pastor, Chris Romig and his wife Karen, are a musical duo that have entertained and performed both together and individually for years. Venice Presbyterian Church has become known in the Venice area as the music church. We are proud of our Music and Arts program and hope our music ministry touches you in such a way that it intensifies your faith and prayer life.
