Membership Renewal
As we enter this season of Membership Renewal at Venice Presbyterian Church, we invite you to prayerfully seek the Lord and consider how He is calling you to walk with His Church in this season of your life. This is far more than updating records or completing a form. It is a sacred opportunity to reaffirm your commitment to Christ and to the church family He has called us to share together.
In Acts 2:42, Scripture tells us that the early believers “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” From the very beginning, God’s people were never meant to walk alone. Membership in the church is a covenant expression of belonging—a commitment to worship together, grow together, serve together, and encourage one another as we follow Jesus Christ. Enclosed is a copy of our Member Covenant, which outlines the meaning and expectations of active membership.
As an Active (Affiliate) Member of Venice Presbyterian Church, we invite you to prayerfully select the membership status that best reflects your current season of life and level of participation in the church.
Below are the option and can be clicked for more information.

This affirmation is for those who sense God’s continued call to participate actively in the worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission of Venice Presbyterian Church as an Affiliate Member while maintaining membership in another church in a different area of the country. It is a joyful reaffirmation of your desire to remain connected to and engaged in the life of this church family as we seek to follow Jesus Christ together, grow in faith, and share His love with the world.

The status of Honorary Lifetime Membership is available for formerly active members who, because of age, health, disability, relocation, or other circumstances, are no longer able to participate regularly in the life of the worship, work, and governance of the church but wish to remain connected to the VPC family. This designation honors ones’ lasting impact and continued place in our church family.
Honorary Lifetime Status does not include voting at congregational meetings or eligibility to hold church office, but those with Honorary Lifetime Status will continue to receive pastoral care and congregational communications and are encouraged to remain as engaged as able.

This is for those who sense that the Lord is leading them into a new season or church community.
This is not a step away from faith, but an acknowledgment of God’s guidance in your life. If this is where the Lord is leading you, we send you with gratitude for the journey we have shared, with our prayers, and with our blessing.
This season of renewal is not about obligation or pressure. It is about faithfully discerning where God is calling each of us to stand, serve, and belong. As leaders, we desire to shepherd well and care faithfully for those entrusted to this church family. As the Body of Christ, we desire to walk intentionally together in love, unity, and shared mission.
Church family, this is a meaningful moment because it represents a people choosing once again to devote themselves to Christ and to one another.
Please know that we are praying for you and trusting the Holy Spirit to guide you with wisdom, peace, and clarity as you respond.
We ask that you respond by August 1, 2026
If we do not receive a response, a member of our church leadership team may attempt to contact you. If we are unable to reach you or do not hear back from you, your membership will be removed from the active membership roll as part of our commitment to cherish the meaning of membership, maintain accurate records and faithfully shepherd the congregation entrusted to our care.
With gratitude and prayer,
The Session of Venice Presbyterian Church
